humankind’s proposal, “Connect for (a) Change,” has been selected to be part of a global initiative supported by MIT called the Societal Transformation Lab.
We are looking for an organization, coalition, or community in the San Diego region that is:
Working toward a better future with a specific focus for change
Willing to experiment with new tools and methodologies for engagement
Interested in being part of a global learning community
The Lab, from February to May 2019, will explore ways for organizations and coalitions to move from “ego-systems” to ecosystems – recognizing and engaging multiple stakeholders in co-creating novel approaches that deliver sustainable change.
We’ve been developing a modular process that uses collective experiential learning to take people from meaningful conversations around a divide in their community to shared aspirations and ideas for change and to then translate those ideas into specific actions or policy proposals.
With this project we want to give people a space and ways to create connections around challenges we face as communities, and to move to articulating shared aspirations for change that lead to action, advocacy, and/or policymaking.
humankind will provide facilitation, research, and coordination, working with you weekly from February through May to codesign and implement a process that can transform your community.
We will be interviewing potential collaborators now through mid January.
For those that are interested, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org by January 7th with your general interest to explore the opportunity.
